Embedded Systems Developer

Due to federal requirements, this position is only open to U.S. citizens. Eligibility to obtain a U.S. security clearance is a requirement for all IS4S employees. Develop software for real-time systems and supporting infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be interested in working on combined hardware/software systems or developing computationally efficient code for processing data received from sensors and other hardware. In addition, they will support the development of supporting infrastructure, such as simulation software running on HPCs, static analysis tools, and aiding in the implementation of sensor fusion algorithms.

• Develop software for embedded or high performance systems.
• Validate, test, and document new or existing codebases.
• Communicate with sensors and other hardware systems, including low latency and precision time applications.
• Optimize code for deployment on devices with constrained computing power and storage.

• A minimum of three years of software development required.
• Experience developing in modern C++ or C required.
• Knowledge of Git, Gitlab, or equivalent source control and CI/CD tools required.
• Experience with software architectures, open architectures, and software design is desired.
• Experience developing for RTOS, Linux, or POSIX systems is desired.
• Knowledge of networking and distributed systems a bonus.
• Knowledge of airworthiness procedures a bonus.
