The Opportunity:

As a software engineer, you know that good software is more than just a nice-looking interface and data. You need the right combination of clean code, APIs, analytics, and infrastructure to develop a user‑focused solution. We’re looking for a software engineer to lead a team as they develop efficient and effective software, from vision to production‑ready system, in an exciting, agile environment.

As a seasoned software engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll use the latest architectural approaches, open‑source frameworks, and tools to deliver end‑to‑end solutions to clients. You’ll analyze environments to ensure that solutions consider current architecture, operating environments, and future enhancements. You’ll share expertise, adopt new tools, and help implement system improvements.

You Have:

• 10+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing software using Agile methods and at least one basic programming language, technology, or web development stack
• Experience with Python coding
• Experience with containerization tools and techniques (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or Open Shift)
• Experience with Agile development and Git Lab processes
• Experience writing source code for new applications or enhancing code samples for existing applications
• Experience acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation and optimization
• Experience mentoring or supervising employees within a collaborative, cross‑functional team environment
• Ability to work with automated testing tools for testing and maintenance
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience in software engineering, or Master's degree and 6+ years of experience in software engineering

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with C++
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Git, or similar tools
• Master’s degree in CS, Computer Engineering, or a related field (Doctorate is a plus)

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. TS/SCI clearance is required.

The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $ (annualized USD).
