Pay Overview:

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hours Per Week: 42 + hours per week
• Solo Miles Pay: $0.34 per Mile
• Solo Stops Pay: $12.00 per Stop
• Paid Training
• Schedule:
  
  Monday – Friday, NO WEEKENDS
• Start Time: 3:00 am – 7:00 am Dispatch

Delivery Details:

• Deliver SOLO to: 80 mile radius of Dayton, OH
• Route:
  Local Home Daily
• Truck Type:
  Box Truck – 16', 22' & 26'
• Equipment:
  Pallet Jack, Lift Gate & Hand Truck
• Ryder will train you on all equipment needed to be successful
• Freight:
  Touch – Auto Parts

Truck Details:

• Trucks are 36 months or newer
• 24/7 Roadside Maintenance included

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Must have verifiable driving experience in similar equipment (straight truck or box truck):
  • 6 months experience in the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor Vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures

Important Note:

Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

• This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.
• Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, agency rules, standards and guidelines
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Maintaining accurate records for loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
  • Other tasks as assigned
