Job SummaryThis position is responsible for the full recruiting life cycle, including intake sessions with hiring managers, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and recommending external and/or internal candidates. The role facilitates interview feedback sessions, executes talent marketing strategies, develops and maintains strong partnerships with hiring managers to outline recruiting strategy, ensures candidate experience aligns with the company’s employment brand, and delivers a best‑in‑class Talent Acquisition function at La‑Z‑Boy.
Job Description- Partner with hiring managers to develop targeted recruiting plans addressing staffing needs while ensuring quality candidate experience and educating managers on legal compliance; analyze and report on key trends, initiatives, competitive activities, and industry best practices.
- Identify candidates using internal and external databases, job boards, social media, networking, cold calling, associations, and recruiting agencies; develop sourcing strategies to support business needs.
- Review applications and compare qualifications and salary requests to posted requirements; maintain applicant‑tracking logs for compliance with state and federal employment law.
- Conduct pre‑screen calls and schedule and conduct behavioral‑based interviews using targeted selection interview guides; coordinate travel arrangements when necessary.
- Ensure proper training of users and full utilization of the recruiting software throughout the employee life‑cycle process.
- Execute talent marketing and proactive recruitment strategies using data and analytics.
- Assist with on‑campus and university recruiting initiatives for the internship program, maintain community relationships, and participate in job fairs and school career days.
- Partner with hiring and HR business partners to develop competitive employment offers and present selected candidates with offer packages.
- Maintain relationships with state career services, ensuring compliance with regulations and partnership to administer state grant reimbursement programs.
- Provide regular updates to hiring managers, HR business partners, Talent Acquisition leaders, and other stakeholders on pipeline development and candidate progress; maintain relationships with hiring managers and HR business partners to deliver an exceptional candidate experience.
- Own the candidate experience by designing and managing processes that align with our employee value proposition and employment brand.
The position supports recruiting across diversified manufacturing, technical, professional, and managerial activities. It influences and coordinates with many management personnel to staff open positions, impacting efficiency and profitability.
Minimum Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resource Management or 2–4 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Full‑cycle recruitment experience.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Lawson and Kronos systems.
- Familiarity with current employment law related to recruiting and staffing.
- Will travel up to 10 % of the time.
- Prior applicant management system experience (Workday, Oracle, Ulti Pro, People Soft, Jobvite, etc.).
Work is performed in a professional office environment. The role requires sitting, repetitive hand motion,, talking, standing, walking, bending, and occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds.
