AI Engineer (Applied/Software), Business Systems & Technology Analysis
The Role
We're hiring an AI Automation Associate (Entry-Level) to help us design and deploy AI agents and automations that eliminate repetitive office work. This is a hands-on role for someone who's technical, curious, and eager to learn fast. You'll work closely with leadership and operations to identify automation opportunities, build prototypes, and ship real workflows. The role is hybrid, based in Dayton, TN.
What you'll do:
Build and maintain AI agents that automate office workflows (admin, HR, recruiting, finance support, project admin)
Map processes and turn them into automated SOPs (inputs logic outputs handoffs)
Create automations connecting tools like Google Workspace / Microsoft 365, CRM, shared drives, forms, and chat
Implement and test workflows such as inbox triage, meeting scheduling, timesheet reminders, document generation, and data syncing
Monitor performance, troubleshoot failures, and improve prompts/workflows
Document everything clearly so others can run and maintain the system
In your first 90 days you'll ship 3-5 working automations that save measurable time each week, build a backlog of opportunities with ROI estimates, and establish a simple process for maintaining agents.

PITCO Engineering is an industrial automation engineering firm on one mission: make automation work for every manufacturer - not just the largest. We design, build, deploy, and optimize automation for some of the biggest manufacturers in the industry, and put that decade of experience in reach of system integrators and the small and mid-sized manufacturers the industry has left behind.
Our vision is to get 10,000 manufacturers standardized - ready to compete with the giants and help rebuild the industrial base. We work in the only order that compounds: get the process right, standardize the result, then make it repeatable through Start with Standard and our AEOS platform.
How we work is held to six values - integrity, accountability, transparency, discipline, alignment, and results. No exceptions.
