Opportunity

Embry-Riddle is now hiring an Office Assistant for the Student Engagement & Student Union department at the Daytona Beach Campus. The Office Assistant is responsible for supporting the smooth and effective operations of two office spaces and an active department of 17 full‑time staff, a 75‑member Student Government Association (SGA), and over 250 student organizations. Reporting to the SGA Transport & Services Manager, the Office Assistant supervises the work of a team of Student Assistants to provide a range of services to students, staff, and departments.

The position requires someone who is professional, organized, and friendly, with strong customer‑service skills and the ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise services provided in the Student Leadership Suite and the RSO Hub, including a coffee station, printing/copying services, check and package pickups for student organization, and checking out of department assets.
  • Oversee the reception desk in responding to in‑person, email and phone requests for information and services.
  • Purchase and maintain department equipment and supplies.
  • Support staff and department activities and events; maintain staff meeting agendas and minutes.
  • Support the administrative operations and services of the Student Government Association.
  • Coordinate the Graduation Fair each semester.
  • Maintain and update office door access for approximately 300 students and staff through both card access and keys.
  • Provide training for a team of 15‑20 student assistants on procedures, policies, and assignments.

Qualifications Required Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree required with a focus in Business, Management, Leadership, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, or Student Affairs.
  • Must obtain and maintain commission as Notary Public with the State of Florida.
