The position is a Full‑Time Air Traffic Control Instructor II (Terminal Radar Tower and TRACON) on the CTS team, partnering with SAIC at Daytona Beach (DAB) to support FAA air traffic controller training services.

The CTS Instructor delivers high‑quality classroom and simulation laboratory training to developmental and Certified Professional Controllers (CPC).

• Deliver classroom and simulation training to a wide variety of students including developmental air traffic controllers and CPC.
• Mentor students and Remote Pilot Operators (RPO).
• Participate in curriculum design and development.
• Interface effectively with FAA personnel at all levels to ensure delivery of training services meets the FAA mission.
• Demonstrate technical skills with ATC automation, simulation systems, and procedures.
• Support training and training‑program support for all types and levels of ATC facilities.

• US citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Minimum of five (5) years of FAA CPC experience controlling live traffic, or recent experience as a contract instructor at an FAA facility at the same type and level as Daytona Beach (DAB).
• Strong technical knowledge of ATC automation, simulation systems, and procedures.
• Knowledge and skills for radar/non‑radar simulation laboratory certifications at FAA facilities.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Instructor II Simulation Laboratory Certification.

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• FAA Certified Professional Controller (CPC) certification required; ability to obtain and maintain Instructor II Simulation Laboratory Certification.

• Direct experience as CPC at DAB ATCT.
• Operational experience with ATC simulators, including scenario design for simulation platforms (e.g., TSS, AT Coach, SGET, etc.).
• Excellent teaching and classroom‑management techniques, student‑focused drive for continuous improvement.
• Advanced interpersonal and communication skills for interfacing with FAA personnel.
