Position Summary- Conduct procedural tests on production, engineering, and qualification products, including incoming material needed to support customer need date.
- Understand and use electrical, mechanical, and optical test equipment, test fixtures, and procedures.
- Apply knowledge of basic electronics, electrical theories, and Ohm’s law.
- Troubleshoot setup or product issues with little to no engineering support.
- Maintain security for all quality verification equipment and its calibration control.
- Notify errors on procedures, drawings, bills of materials, and router data to the Quality, Manufacturing Engineering support teams.
- Complete documentation (shop packs and FATs) accurately and timely.
- Enter data into the IFS system accurately and timely.
- Maintain high quality standards and workmanship; sustain safe working conditions.
- Communicate effectively with all departments within the company.
- Identify and communicate special tooling needs required to perform operations.
- Two year technical degree or equivalent military training or demonstrated job experience.
- Recent experience in an electrical or electronics manufacturing environment.
- Recent experience in hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Experience handling fiber optic related product.
Skills And Abilities
- Ability to work safely with minimal or no direct supervision.
- Ability to adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work from verbal directions and read technical drawings, electrical schematics, specifications, and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with internal and external customers.
- Proficiency with electrical/mechanical test equipment (Meggers, Ohm-meters, pressure gauges, dial calipers) and optical test equipment.
- Computer literacy with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to learn from peers and take constructive criticism from colleagues and managers.
- Strong shop math skills.
