Position OverviewThe purpose of this position is to support cable qualification testing and onsite/offsite termination builds. Additionally, this position will assist the Aftermarket Services Coordinator with inspection, evaluation, and repair of customer‑owned equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Build in-house termination assemblies.
- Assist with building and installing field service products as required.
- Work closely with Engineering on CVT (cable verification testing) assemblies.
- Inspection, evaluation, and troubleshooting of customer returns.
- Support Field Service efforts through effective communication with all departments.
- Must work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Will require frequent domestic/international travel, sometimes on short notice.
- Represent the company in a professional manner to customers while traveling.
- AS degree or equivalent work experience.
- 2‑4 years of experience in a workshop environment.
- Electrical background required.
- Fiber optic background desired.
Skills and Abilities
- Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Outlook, and MS Excel is required.
- Must have the ability to read blueprints, procedures, specifications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
- Proficient in the use of standard electronic test equipment (i.e., multimeter, megohmmeter, temperature measurement).
- Must be proficient in use of hand tools.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
