Registered Nurse- Regional Oncology Center; Clinical Coordinator

• LMHC, LCSW, or other Licensed, Master's Prepared Counselor
• Graduation from an accredited School;
  Master's Degree and Clinical Licensure in their specialty required.
• Five years' experience in clinical specialty.
• Previous Supervisory experience preferred.
• State of Florida Licensure in specialty.
• Must demonstrate clinical competency and leadership skills.
• Professionalism in interpersonal skills with patients, families and staff.
• Good organizational and computer skills.
• Serves as a liaison between members of the healthcare team, administration, Psych. Counselor's, COTA's, patients, families, Providers and outside agencies.
• Ensures Psych. Counselors/Patient assignments are completed daily, and that assignments are based on patient acuity and skill level of staff available.
• Performs patient rounds to ensure that needs are met and orders carried out.
• Assesses patient care via observation, interviews, performance improvement surveys, and interactions with staff. Assists with timely follow-up for occurrence reports.
• Works with manager and unit educator to plan, organize and evaluate the unit's Mental Health Group Program.
• Assists manager with staff meetings and communication of new information to staff.
• Maintains appropriate scheduling/staffing guidelines for Therapy staff, monitors progress and identifies educational needs of new employees.
• Completes or assists with completion of formal performance evaluations for assigned staff.
• Role models excellence in patient care activities; takes patient assignment as needed.
• Supervises and assists with documentation in the patient's medical record.
• Maintains knowledge base within area of specialty.
• Works to resolve conflicts with patients, families and staff.
• Unit expert with clinical documentation - both electronic and paper for downtime.
• Other related duties as assigned.
