** The Opportunity
** Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking a reliable and customer-focused
** Postal & Shipping Clerk
** to support campus mail and shipping operations at the Daytona Beach campus. This position plays a critical role in providing outbound postal services through the University’s Contract Postal Unit (CPU), assisting students, faculty, staff, and campus partners with mailing and shipping needs while ensuring compliance with USPS, UPS, and Fed Ex policies.

The Postal & Shipping Clerk is responsible for delivering excellent customer service at the postal counter, processing outgoing mail and packages, maintaining postal supplies and inventory, supporting daily operational closeouts, and assisting with incoming mail and package distribution. This role also provides backup courier services for campus mail delivery and supports compliance audits conducted by the United States Postal Service.

This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting a fast-paced service environment.

*** High School Diploma or GED required
* One (1) to three (3) years of related experience in shipping, receiving, mail services, customer service, or a related field###
** Required Licenses & Certifications
*** Valid Florida Driver’s License with a clean driving record
* ** Required licenses, certificates, and/or security clearances:
*** Relevant certifications in pesticide application and irrigation management preferred.
* Candidates will be expected to obtain a Limited Lawn and Ornamental Pesticide License (LLO) by the State of Florida within the first 90 days of employment. We are excited to share that Embry-Riddle will cover the cost for the Grounds Supervisor to obtain a Limited Lawn and Ornamental License.
* Must possess and maintain a valid, US driver’s license. In some instances, a valid Class C (CDL) license may be required.
* Must meet the University’s standards for approved drivers. Unacceptable driving records (as stated in the Use of Equipment and Vehicles Procedure 1.17) include the following (for three years from the date of each occurrence):  + Three (3) or more at-fault accidents and/or moving violations in the previous 36 months.  + Two (2) or more at-fault accidents or two (2) or more moving violations in the past year.
