Summary of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
Provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by physicians, following standards of nursing practice and regulations, under the direction of the Director of Nursing.
QualificationsJob Requirements for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
- Current Florida state license as an LPN.
- At least one (1) year of skilled nursing experience preferred.
- Current/active CPR certification.
- Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- High professionalism with confidentiality.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels and work well in a team.
- Customer service orientation and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make decisions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
- Assess and document resident progress.
- Monitor turning and positioning of residents.
- Update physician’s orders based on resident progress.
- Communicate resident condition to relevant staff.
- Maintain and restock treatment supplies.
- Follow infection control policies.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately.
- Document pressure sore status regularly.
- Monitor medication and supply inventory.
- Participate in educational programs for residents and families.
- Engage in quality improvement activities.
