Host, Restaurant​/Food Service, Server​/Wait Staff

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and organized individual to join our team as a Host/Hostess at Mama Foo Foo. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, managing reservations, and ensuring that our guests have a seamless dining experience. • Greet guests and manage reservations in a timely and efficient manner
• Coordinate seating and table assignments to ensure a smooth dining experience
• Manage wait lists and communicate with guests regarding wait times
• Handle phone calls and take reservations in a professional and courteous manner
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand, including managing guest lists
• Monitor the flow of guests and adjust seating accordingly to minimize wait times
• Collaborate with servers and management to ensure seamless service
• Provide excellent customer service and handle any customer complaints or issues in a professional manner
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail when handling cash and credit transactions

• 1-2 years of experience as a host/hostess in a restaurant or hospitality environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks efficiently
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
• Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Experience with restaurant management software or systems
• Knowledge of food service operations and protocols
• Bilingual or multilingual skills
