Senior Meat Cutter

Base pay range

$18.00/hr – $25.00/hr

As a Senior Meat Cutter you will drive sales in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.

• Be a Team Member:
  Collaborates with cross‑functional teams, helps educate other associates on tools, tasks and resources, communicates effectively, develops interpersonal skills for providing customer service, and is flexible to the needs of the business. Tracks goods, maintains in‑stock levels and controls shrinkage.
• Be an Expert:
  Maintains an in‑depth knowledge of the various types and seasonality of different meat products, equipment usage and backroom operations; processes meat according to specifications (e.g., cutting, slicing, grinding, wrapping); ensures compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines and inventory management; operates, maintains and sanitizes equipment.
• Be a Techie:
  Leverages digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience and elevate associate engagement; uses hand‑held technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training and product quality with the member in mind; adapts to new tools and encourages others to use them.
• Be an Owner:
  Drives business results, ensuring commitment to operational excellence, plans for profitability, and maintains a work area according to company policies and procedures; ensures quality and standards for high‑volume meat products, eliminates waste, secures fragile and high‑shrink merchandise; assists members with purchasing decisions and ensures merchandise is properly packaged, labeled and stored.
• Be a Talent Ambassador:
  Advocates for the department and the club, values the member’s experience in the meat area and models high‑quality service and products; executes the basics at the highest possible level of quality and interacts with associates to understand roadblocks, assisting in training them to perform job‑related duties.
• Complies with company policies:
  Implements related action plans, uses the Open Door Policy and applies these in executing business processes and practices.
• Completes work assignments:
  Uses policies, data and resources; collaborates with managers, co‑workers, customers and other business partners; identifies priorities, deadlines and expectations; communicates progress and information; determines and recommends ways to address improvement opportunities and adapts to change and feedback.

• 6 months’ experience working in a fresh production department.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must successfully complete all job required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if the position is awarded.
