Master Locator

Overview

At Utili Quest, LLC, as a Master Locator, you’ll mark all facility types and all ticket types in any area with flags and paint to help ensure projects are safe and efficient.

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• A minimum of four years locating experience
• Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle, bend, stoop, stand, walk, squeeze, fine hand motion, lift up to 55 pounds, use keyboard and mouse
• Occasionally: work in confined spaces, use portable ladder and climb stairs

The wage range for Master Locator is $26.00 - $30.00 per hour.

• Operate detection equipment to locate and mark all facility types and all ticket types in any area
• Mentor other Locators with challenging tickets
• Troubleshoot difficult locates and help in locating high-profile cable lines
• Performs audits or damage investigations as assigned by supervisor
• Help supervisor and dispatch with assigning tickets when needed
• Respond promptly and courteously to excavation notices
• Communicate well with excavators, utility representatives, and company staff
• Document all locates
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/after hours responsibilities as needed
• Perform work in all weather conditions
