Family Specialist – Devereux
Join Devereux to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families. This role provides Family Preservation and Child Welfare case management services in Volusia, Flagler, and Putnam Counties and works closely with the Department of Children and Families.
Job OverviewThis position supports families by connecting them to resources, preventing children from entering the foster care system, and developing family preservation plans. The Family Specialist engages families through team meetings, determines needs, implements resources, and coordinates referrals. The role maintains close contact with the assigned DCF investigator to provide updates on family progress throughout participation in the Family Builders Program.
Salary & BenefitsSalary: Starts at $20.25–$23.08 per hour (rate based on education and experience). Eligible for a $1,000 sign‑on bonus.
Schedule: Full time; flexible schedule to accommodate families (not a 9‑5 position).
Location: Field‑based; coverage across Volusia, Flagler, and Putnam Counties.
- Paid time off: 24 days per year, increases with years of service; 64 hours of sick time per year.

- Bachelor’s degree in a social services related field.

- Valid Florida Driver’s License.
- Pass pre‑employment medical screenings: drug test and TB test.
