Esport Coach

Overview

Keiser University is seeking an ESports Coach at its Daytona Beach campus. The ESports coach will recruit qualified students for both club and competitive varsity teams, schedule and coach intercollegiate matches and tournaments, coordinate practice preparation, and manage the training lab/arena. The coach should demonstrate a vision for a collegiate ESports program at Keiser University.

• Prepare ESport student‑athletes for NACE and other competitions and tournaments.
• Develop, prepare, and execute fall and spring practice schedules and competition plans. Communicate practice and event times to team members.
• Instruct, teach, and coach student‑athletes on game strategies and performance principles during practice and competition.
• Ensure that the competitive varsity and club levels meet annual squad size targets.
• Ensure program recruitment activities adhere to University and NACE policies and procedures.
• Maintain player eligibility across collegiate leagues and competitions and keep records demonstrating eligibility.
• Develop schedules for competitions that are fiscally efficient and spectator friendly.
• Coordinate team travel and recruiting resources efficiently.
• Serve as the primary spokesperson for the ESports program in the community.
• Represent the University at conferences, regional, state, and national meetings related to ESports.
• Create and maintain inventory for uniforms, supplies, and equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance of physical resources and ensure surfaces are kept clean; equipment is sanitized and disinfected as needed.
• Ensure facility and equipment are properly secured at all times.
• Perform other duties to assist the athletic department as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in any field required;
  Master’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle; eligible to rent a car via the university’s account when needed.
• Ability to operate ESports Lab/Arena computer equipment, knowledge of gaming platforms and supporting websites; ability to troubleshoot equipment for optimal gaming experience.
• Must have competitive level experience with multiplayer online video games; expert knowledge of League of Legends or a similar game.
• Knowledge of NACE rules and regulations.
• Full-time position requiring day, evening, and weekend availability. Travel to ESports events and for recruiting may be necessary.

Education Required:
Bachelors or better.

Experience Required: 3–5 years of related experience.
