Municipal Project Manager — De Pere, Wisconsin
Mead & Hunt is seeking an experienced Municipal Project Manager to join their growing local municipal team in De Pere, Wisconsin. This position offers the opportunity to lead a variety of municipal infrastructure projects and collaborate with professionals across multiple disciplines within the company. Mead & Hunt has served as both the on-site engineering resource and trusted local professionals for many communities in the greater Green Bay area, with a long history of repeat municipal clients.
The engineer will serve as the primary point of contact for municipal clients—villages, towns, and utility districts—throughout the greater Green Bay area. Typical projects include stormwater management, sanitary sewer and water main design, water treatment, and general municipal infrastructure improvements. This position offers a steady pipeline of diverse and engaging work due to a strong base of long-standing clients.
The position is based in Mead & Hunt’s De Pere, Wisconsin office, with flexible and hybrid work arrangements available.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as project manager and client manager, maintaining close, proactive relationships with municipal clients.
- Oversee and coordinate the planning, design, and delivery of civil infrastructure projects.
- Provide quality assurance and technical oversight, ensuring design excellence and compliance with standards.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and technical staff, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
- Work collaboratively with other Mead & Hunt departments—including transportation, water resources, environmental, architecture, and construction services—to deliver integrated project solutions.
- Prepare technical proposals, project budgets, and schedules, and assist with business development initiatives.
- Contribute to the continued growth and success of Mead & Hunt’s One Water team both locally and nationally.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
- Demonstrated experience in project management and client relationship development.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with a collaborative mindset.
