• Analyze production processes to pinpoint inefficiencies and root causes.
• Assess current equipment and recommend necessary changes or additions to increase throughput and improve production capacity.
• Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify opportunities for automation that could drive significant benefits.
• Optimize equipment layouts, workflows, changeover methods, and workforce utilization to enhance overall efficiency.
• Investigate and communicate with equipment manufacturers to explore promising automated solutions that align with our needs.
• Plan, implement, and oversee the installation of justified automation projects to ensure successful execution and integration.
• Work closely with production and maintenance teams to ensure efficient integration of new equipment, minimizing production downtime.
• Ensure all production processes adhere to safety standards and are optimized for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Follow all safety procedures as required by the role and nurture a food safety culture by adhering to all Safe Quality Foods requirements.

• Proficient in computer aided design including 3D modeling software.
• Experience with automation and robotics.
• Results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Proficiency in automation systems with a focus on performance management rather than direct PLC programming.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office programs.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to communicate and field questions in a friendly and professional manner.
• Requires nearly constant concentration and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of and ability to effectively utilize English.
• Education:
  
  Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
• Willingness to travel internationally and domestically.
• Ability to talk and hear 90% of work time.
• Standing and walking required 25% of work time.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds for 20% of work time.
• Ability to see clearly at 20 inches or 20 feet or more and differentiate colors.
