Responsibilities- Analyze production processes to pinpoint inefficiencies and root causes.
- Assess current equipment and recommend necessary changes or additions to increase throughput and improve production capacity.
- Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify opportunities for automation that could drive significant benefits.
- Optimize equipment layouts, workflows, changeover methods, and workforce utilization to enhance overall efficiency.
- Investigate and communicate with equipment manufacturers to explore promising automated solutions that align with our needs.
- Plan, implement, and oversee the installation of justified automation projects to ensure successful execution and integration.
- Work closely with production and maintenance teams to ensure efficient integration of new equipment, minimizing production downtime.
- Ensure all production processes adhere to safety standards and are optimized for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Follow all safety procedures as required by the role and nurture a food safety culture by adhering to all Safe Quality Foods requirements.
- Proficient in computer aided design including 3D modeling software.
- Experience with automation and robotics.
- Results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Proficiency in automation systems with a focus on performance management rather than direct PLC programming.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office programs.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate and field questions in a friendly and professional manner.
- Requires nearly constant concentration and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of and ability to effectively utilize English.
- Education:
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering. - Willingness to travel internationally and domestically.
- Ability to talk and hear 90% of work time.
- Standing and walking required 25% of work time.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds for 20% of work time.
- Ability to see clearly at 20 inches or 20 feet or more and differentiate colors.
