Tool Crib Attendant – Velocity Machine, Inc.

Location: De Pere, WI Salary: $25.00–$29.00 per hour.
Employment Type: Full‑time.
Seniority Level: Entry level.

Responsible for organizing, securing and maintaining the service and support functions of the Tool Crib and tooling inventory. Provides support to machinists at Mill and Lathe machine centers.

• Maintain tooling inventory management system and conduct daily data entry.
• Prepare, set up and kit tooling for machinists.
• Breakdown and disassemble tooling, receive, unpack and store incoming tools and equipment.
• Issue tools and equipment to employees while maintaining computer records.
• Handle item returns and process used inserts.
• Locate lost or misplaced tools, report missing or damaged items, and perform periodic inventory cycle counts.
• Inspect tools and equipment for defects and wear, repair, service and lubricate as needed.
• Ensure bins are properly labeled and organized; record data for supporting documentation.
• Back up tool crib purchasing: obtain quotes, issue purchase orders, review items, and handle repair POs.
• Assist in training employees on the inventory check‑out system and tool vending machines.
• Assist shop floor operations and offer recommendations for process improvements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Tech school education in machining and/or tooling is helpful.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word,,Point, Outlook).
• Experience with an inventory management system preferred.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with high attention to detail.

• Medium work including moving and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
• Repeating motions of wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Operation of machinery and power tools.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing, for the duration of shift.
