Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

We are looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic team as the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor. This role will lead the Facilities Maintenance Team to support the development and execution of asset maintenance and reliability programs for our facilities infrastructure. The supervisor oversees the maintenance and repair of the organization s buildings, equipment, and systems to ensure facilities are safe, functional, and compliant with safety and regulatory requirements.

The position includes managing maintenance staff, scheduling work, and coordinating with safety and regulatory standards.

• Builds, leads, and develops the Facilities Maintenance Team (6+ personnel) to ensure maintenance excellence and prompt customer service.
• Lead, train, and manage maintenance staff, assigning tasks while monitoring performance.
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors when needed.
• Work with the Facilities Operations Team to develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules for all buildings and systems.
• Facility inspections: conduct regular inspections to identify and address issues; ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Maintenance management: oversee routine and preventative maintenance for building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, steam process, compressed air, and structural components); ensure repairs are completed efficiently.
• Report to the Facilities Maintenance and Reliability Manager with regular updates on status of tasks and projects.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of the Facilities Maintenance Team to ensure timely, high-standard completion of tasks.
• Conduct regular audits/inspections to identify maintenance issues or safety hazards.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors, ensuring work complies with contracts.
• Assist in development and management of the Facilities Maintenance budget.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Facilities Maintenance and Reliability Manager.
• Compliance and Safety/Emergency Response: ensure activities comply with regulations; promote a safe work environment; respond to emergencies and coordinate rapid repairs.

Education:

  Required:
  
  High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred:
  Associate degree or Bachelor s degree in facilities management, construction management, or related field.

Essential Qualifications

• At least 5+ years in Facilities Maintenance, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of CMMSs and building systems (mechanical, electrical, controls) and safety regulations.
• Experience with TPM and RCM programs; knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Effective communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills.
• Working-level English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Proficiency in maintenance management software and basic computer applications.

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements include equipment such as Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and hazmat suit with respirator when applicable.
