The Accounts Payable Bookkeeper shall report to the Director of Accounting Services. This is a full-time or part-time position, as per the Central Office support staff agreement.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Experience in accounts payable/bookkeeping.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with computerized accounting software.
• Proficiency in standard office machinery including personal computers, ten-key adding machines, typewriters, FAX machines, and copy machines.
• Other qualifications as deemed appropriate by the Director of Accounting Services.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and process all vendor invoices for payment.
• Process monthly general fund check runs.
• Prepare manual checks as needed.
• Handle conference registration payments for employees.
• Manage purchase order procedures.
• Prepare and process weekly check runs for various funds (Student Activity, Athletic, Hot Lunch).
• Maintain bank records and reconcile accounts.
• Prepare financial batch entries for various funds.
• Cross-train in Payroll/Human Resources.
• Provide backup for telephone and reception duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Accounting Services.
