A Senior Tax Manager at Common Wealth works closely with our team of experienced accountants on financial reviews, tax planning, and preparation. They are a vital resource for our staff and clients, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks. With strong communication skills, they collaborate with the team to handle accounting and tax matters and deliver timely, precise results. This role is about being an integral part of our team, providing expert guidance, and consistently adding value to our clients' businesses.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with a diverse client portfolio.
- Manage and complete monthly accounting and tax engagements efficiently, ensuring timely client service.
- Keep the project pipeline organized and up-to-date in our practice management software.
- Consistently follow up with clients on tax matters to ensure continuous support.
- Accurately document client interactions and maintain precise records.
- Educate clients on tax strategies, ensuring they understand their options.
- Mentor and support staff on client engagements and tax issues.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth and effective service delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;CPA required.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in small business accounting with a focus on tax.
- Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Quickbooks Online, Ultra Tax software [Thomson Reuters] and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A proactive and team-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
