Data Programmer

Job Description

Dearborn Offset Printing is seeking a detail-oriented Data Programmer to support our high-volume print, mail, and data-driven production operations. This role is responsible for preparing, validating, and programming client data used in transactional printing and mailing workflows.

The ideal candidate will have strong C# (.NET) programming experience, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven production environment. This position will also require periodic collaboration with an India-based partner team.

• Develop, maintain, and execute data-processing workflows using C# (.NET)
• Receive, review, and process client data files for print and mailing production
• Validate, cleanse, format, and transform data to meet production and USPS requirements
• Generate output files for printing, inserting, and mailing equipment
• Troubleshoot data and logic issues in coordination with production and prepress teams
• Coordinate as needed with an India-based partner team to support workflows and transitions
• Maintain accurate job documentation and follow established SOPs
• Ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance with internal and client standards

• Proven experience programming in C# (.NET)
• Experience working with production or transactional data files
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
• General computer and data-file proficiency (CSV, TXT, Excel, databases)
• Reliability and consistent attendance are essential
• Self-Motivated – able to stay on task and work independently without constant guidance
• Willingness to learn and work with additional technical platforms as needed

• Experience in commercial printing, mailing, or transactional document production
• SQL or database experience
• Familiarity with variable data printing (VDP) workflows
• Experience working with offshore or international partner teams
• Experience handling regulated or sensitive data
