You will be a hands‑on builder who shapes real product decisions, partners deeply with Product, Engineering, Design, and GTM leadership, and ensures strategy turns into execution.

  • Portfolio Strategy & The “Analytical Backbone”:
    Own the Portfolio View—define the portfolio‑level product strategy across Ford’s digital ecosystem, evaluate product‑market fit and customer value, and ensure the “Good‑Better‑Best” bundling strategy is commercially viable.
  • Pressure‑Test Major Bets—rigorously evaluate major product bets and long‑range investment themes, partner with Finance and Product Leaders to stress‑test business cases, grounding decisions in data and customer reality.
  • Build and maintain a portfolio insight system, including KPI trees, leading indicators, and early‑warning signals, and synthesize second‑order conclusions to guide capital allocation.
  • Own the Board Narrative—synthesize complex inputs (technical architecture, P&L models, market dynamics) into simple, compelling stories for the ELT and Board.
  • Run the Strategic Engine—establish and run the strategy operating cadence, including quarterly portfolio reviews, decision logs, and follow‑through mechanisms.
  • Orchestrate the “Run of Show”—manage the rhythm of the business to ensure pre‑reads are distributed and stakeholders are aligned before the meeting.
  • Build, Buy, or Partner—drive “Build vs. Buy vs. Partner” recommendations and shape ecosystem strategy, supporting partnership evaluation and long‑term value creation.
  • Establish a continuous market and competitive intelligence loop.
  • Build and lead a small, elite product strategy team and model a pragmatic, builder‑oriented mindset.
  • Act as the strategic right hand to the Global Head of Digital Product, influencing Engineering, Design, GTM and other stakeholders without direct managerial authority.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in Product Management, Corporate Strategy, or Management Consulting, focused on digital products or automotive technology.
  • Elite communication skills: master of the written word and visual presentation, capable of commanding a room of senior executives.
  • Operational resilience: demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in a high‑pressure environment and deliver high‑quality work on a weekly executive cadence.
  • Cognitive agility: able to zoom into the details of a feature set and zoom out to a 5‑year corporate strategy in the same conversation.
  • Influence without authority: align diverse stakeholders behind a single narrative without direct managerial authority.

  • Background in Management Consulting (McKinsey, Bain, BCG) creating deliverables for Fortune 100 clients.
  • Deep experience with PRFAQ / Amazon‑style working‑backwards methodologies.
  • Design proficiency: ability to write and visualize the story, including wire framing concepts or high‑end presentation design.
