Our client in Dearborn, MI is looking for a Quality / Reliability Engineer General for a contract position.

• Implement commodity‑specific business plans to ensure suppliers exceed corporate launch, quality, capacity, warranty metrics, and vehicle delivery.
• Lead cross‑functional decisions with client and supplier leadership to resolve open issues.
• Ensure zero vehicle losses from suppliers.
• Serve as the principal for on‑site troubleshooting and corrective actions for emergency supplier situations.
• Lead adherence to client standards (e.g., Q1).
• Drive assessment and validation of manufacturing feasibility at identified supplier sites.
• Execute the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Quality Planning Process (APQP).
• Use available data, metrics, and business plans to inform future sourcing decisions.

• Bachelor of Science/Engineering, or equivalent technical/manufacturing aptitude.
• Experience with quality management.
• Knowledge of PPAP processes.
• Strong problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with APQP.
