ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:
As a key contributor on our team, you’ll support the design and delivery of stormwater and drainage solutions for a variety of transportation and infrastructure projects alongside other Engineers & Project Managers by working on both bid-build and design-build efforts, and applying your technical expertise to:
- Develop plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Design roadway drainage systems, including culverts, closed systems, and erosion/sediment control
- Stormwater design for projects including both bid-build and design-build projects
- Conduct bridge hydraulic studies and stormwater modeling using tools such as Open Roads Designer (ORD), HY-8, and HEC-RAS
- Prepare technical reports and coordinate permitting with local and state agencies
- Mentor other engineers and interns, fostering team growth and knowledge sharing
What You Bring to the Role:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- 6+ years of relevant experience in water resources or drainage engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Michigan
- Proficiency in Micro Station and ArcGIS
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- MDOT, Open Roads Designer Drainage & Utility and/or HEC-RAS, SRH-2D, SWMM knowledge/experience is a plus!
Compensation:
The approximate compensation range for this position is $80k - $120k. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
