Job Title:
Supplier Quality Engineer
As a Supplier Technical Assistance Engineer, you will represent the client at manufacturing plants. You will take a leadership role both within our organization and with our suppliers regarding product launch and current model quality and capacity. You will be empowered to make quality decisions on behalf of our client and authorize legal documents such as the Part Submission Warrant.
Responsibilities- Lead product launch quality and capacity efforts at manufacturing plants.
- Represent the company in discussions with suppliers to ensure quality standards.
- Make informed quality decisions and authorize legal documents like the Part Submission Warrant.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Systems/Processes (e.g., IATF), Continuous Improvement, or Lean in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical problem‑solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of AIAG APQP and PPAP processes.
- Strong manufacturing experience and program management skills.
- Basic computer skills and quality systems knowledge/experience.
- High level of interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse individuals and teams.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing processes such as molding, coating/painting, assembly, etc.
- Experience with commodities like exterior lighting, mechanisms, windshield systems, etc.
- Preferred problem‑solving skills such as Green Belt / Black Belt, Red X, etc.

This is a Contract position based out of Dearborn, MI.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $42.30 – $50.67/hr.
