Responsibilities

What you'll be able to do:

IVI-C System Engineer - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan). Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the Dearborn office. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from Dearborn, MI. Interact with feature owners and software development teams to scope and define systems interface specifications including deriving functional level requirements from feature level requirements, and utilizing a model-based systems engineering approach to define individual functions, use cases, sequence diagrams, and related.

Qualifications

You'll have…

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. 3 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
1. Providing engineering support for In-Vehicle and Connected Infotainment Systems including interfaces, communication protocols, and architecture.
2. Performing system engineering for electrical architectures and electrical systems.
3. Analyzing and resolving systems issues.
4. Using CAN tools to collect and diagnose.
5. Authoring requirements and using requirements management tools.
