WhatYou’ll Do
- Lead knowledge development in structured problem solving across STA teams
- Serve as a subject‑matter expert, providing technical coaching and hands‑on support for critical projects
- Train and mentor engineers in strategic problem‑solving methods and quality tools
- Drive use of triage scripts and support advanced‑stage disputes with objective, data‑backed analysis
- Provide cradle‑to‑cradle support for vehicle health and supplier quality issues
- Apply engineering fundamentals to diagnose failures, including stress analysis, fluid flow, thermal behavior, material properties, and electrical systems
- Conduct reliability engineering using Weibull and other statistical distributions to assess failure modes
- Leverage warranty systems and manufacturing databases to identify trends and prioritize high‑impact issues
- Apply Six Sigma methodologies such as DOE, hypothesis testing, regression, MSA, and process capability analysis
- Use root‑cause techniques, including 3x5 Why, to implement systemic and sustainable improvements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical background
- Minimum 2 years of plant manufacturing experience
- Strong problem‑solving expertise;
Six Sigma Black Belt preferred - Proficiency with quality tools, APQP, PPAP, and structured problem‑solving methodologies
- Experience with data analysis tools, including Minitab
- Ability to develop and present concise, data‑driven recommendations to senior leadership
- Strong communication and team‑building skills across cross‑functional and global teams
- Knowledge of vehicle or powertrain components, manufacturing processes, and quality systems
- Fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal)
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently to supplier sites (up to 70%)
