Responsibilities
  • Minimize campaign occurrences on forward model programs through the campaign prevent process, improve design robustness and compliance with foundation documents/requirements.
  • Lead the Technical Design Review process for all programs.
  • Lead integrating the campaign prevent and technical design review processes into one complementary process, ensuring a current timeline and program schedule.
  • Conduct up‑front virtual and downstream hardware campaign prevent reviews.
  • Lead campaign prevent awareness sessions for programs at UNV

  • Conduct or supervise reviews (virtual and hardware fresh eyes) for all programs.
  • Raise and agree with closures of fresh eyes review AIMs issues.
  • Lead Prevent Action Closure process for recalls and stop ships, and manage the prevent recurrence process.
  • Lead or run the weekly suspension prevent recurrence meeting.
  • Maintain and keep campaign prevent templates and checklists up to date.
  • Monitor the NHTSA and other recall sources for potential assessment in the prevent process.
  • Support development of 14D’s, Prevent Action Closure papers, and migration plans.
  • Participate in durability reviews.
  • Use experience in delivering designs into production to propose recommendations and assist in training engineers.
  • Provide on‑site support for collaboration, targeting 4 days per week.
Qualifications
  • BS in Chassis/Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive model programs.
  • Understanding of GPDS deliverables and basic Ford engineering tools including Teamcenter and buck environment.
  • PS through launch experience.
  • Experience launching new vehicles.
  • Ability to handle complex tasks and challenging situations under compressed timing.

  • Masters Degree in Chassis/Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience communicating with senior leaders, design and release, manufacturing, and suppliers.
  • Outstanding planning, organizational and project management skills with proper follow‑up to accomplish multiple objectives.

This position is a leadership level 6 and is hybrid. Candidates who are within commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
