Our team in Dearborn is seeking a skilled Dyno Technician to support engine and vehicle performance testing.

Position Summary

As a Dyno Technician, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining dynamo meters to evaluate the performance of engines and vehicles. You will collaborate with engineers and technicians to collect and analyze test data, ensure equipment accuracy, and support critical development projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct performance tests on engines and vehicles using chassis and engine dynamo meters
  • Collect, record, and analyze test data (torque, horsepower, emissions, etc.)
  • Prepare test cells, install engines/vehicles, and configure equipment for testing
  • Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot dynamo meters and related equipment
  • Work closely with engineers and team members to execute test plans and provide performance insights
  • Follow all safety protocols while working in high‑performance lab and shop environments
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of direct experience operating dynamo meters (engine or chassis)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands‑on technical skills
  • Proficiency in interpreting test data and technical reports
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools, test equipment, and related software
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with automotive testing environments
  • Knowledge of emissions and fuel systems testing
  • Background in vehicle calibration or development testing
