Responsibilities- Deliver Manufacturing and Quality Operating System requirements for Powertrain eMotor (Rotor/Stator).
- Collaborate with Product Development team to generate facility & tooling costs, improve quality, and reduce labor requirements.
- Use virtual tools to evaluate the feasibility of new model designs for high volume manufacturing operations.
- Write, modify, and maintain process sheets and deliver an entire process.
- Lead identification, resolution, and closure of eMotor, Assembly, Test, Controls, Ergonomics, Safety and other feasibility issues.
- Create and follow a master schedule for the design, build, and implementation of tools in your subsystem.
- Lead assembly and other start‑up activities associated with commissioning at the manufacturing site. Support equipment trials at vendor facilities prior to shipment to Ford.
- Lead identification, resolution, and closure of all launch product and tooling issues, working closely with operations teams.
- Develop “Lessons Learned” from new model launches and implement prevent‑reoccurrence actions in future programs.
- Support Department Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, Morale, Environment, and Innovation initiatives.
- Interface with cross‑functional activities (Product Development, Supplier Technical Assistance, Purchasing, Facilities, Material Planning & Logistics, New Model Programs).
- BSc, Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Electrical, etc.)
- 5+ years’ experience in the automotive manufacturing arena, preferably as a Process Engineer working with eMotor Powertrain components (Stators/Rotors).
- This role will be based out of Sterling Heights, MI through 2026.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to support and launch programs onsite.
- Strong project management skills and result‑oriented mindset.
- Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- 3D CAD review abilities (Teamcenter, Vis Mockup, CATIA, or equivalent).
- Understanding of PFMEA and failure‑mode avoidance principles.
- Strong verbal & written communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to operate in stressful situations within timing constraints.
- Ability to work with minimal direct supervision.
- Working knowledge of statistics (control charts, data collecting, GD&T, etc.).
- Knowledge in the following Ford software systems: WERS, Teamcenter, E2KS, AIMs, Ariba/Aurora.
- Experience with error proofing.
- Ability to travel (including extended travel) to assembly and component plants in USA, Canada, and Mexico.

This position is a salary grade range 5‑8.
