The Advance Driver Assistance Technology (ADAS) team develops state‑of‑the‑art software and algorithms to deliver best‑in‑class features like adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and 360 camera systems. ADAS also developed Ford's industry‑first Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, securing over 60 patents in the process. The team is responsible for the full end‑to‑end delivery of these features into production on all Ford vehicle lines.

We are seeking a diligent, detail‑driven project management professional to support our Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) Software development activities. This involves applying Technical Program Management engineering principles and analytical techniques in support of delivering software for the ADAS ECU.

Qualifications

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Controls Engineering
  • 5+ years’ experience in SW Program Management in an embedded technical software discipline
  • 5+ years’ experience in the usage of industry standard project management tools for product development and delivery (MS Project or equivalent)
  • 2+ years’ experience in the usage of the JIRA work management tool or equivalent for product development and delivery
  • Ability to understand complex technical issues and to present adjusted levels of detail based on target audience

Even better, you may have...

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or Controls Engineering
  • 7+ years’ experience in SW Program Management in an embedded technical software discipline within the automotive domain
  • Strong background in embedded software development, understanding of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems
  • Experience leading cross‑functional teams across multiple disciplines (engineering, product, design, testing, quality, etc.) throughout the entire product lifecycle
  • Expert knowledge of Agile development methods and application
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle methodology
  • Mastery of technical plan development (task identification, task breakdown, timing) for consumption at multiple leadership levels of the organization
  • Extensive experience using Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, etc), and Git Hub source code management tool
  • Extensive experience using Confluence to develop/maintain rich content wiki pages
  • Proven ability to communicate program information to stakeholders at various levels of the organization (written and verbal)
