Akkodis is seeking a System Application Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI (Hybrid). Responsible for designing and validating next generation 48V Lighting Driver Modules from concept through launch.
Rate Range: $40/hour to $42/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
- Design, develop, and validate 48V Lighting Driver Modules (LDMs) from concept through launch.
- Partner with lead engineers to own defined subsets of LDM components, requirements, and design deliverables.
- Lead and facilitate design reviews with internal teams and external suppliers, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (FMVSS, ECE, RF certification).
- Create and execute comprehensive Design Verification Plans (DVPs) for bench, HIL, and vehicle-level testing, tracking validation status using FEDE and JIRA.
- Manage component and system releases within WERS and support program launches by driving issue resolution and presenting status updates.
- Conduct warranty analysis, maintain dashboards, and collaborate with Quality and FCSD teams for root‑cause investigations and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical/computer engineering or related field.
- Minimum 2 years in automotive electrical system design, validation, and testing (hardware/software/systems).
- Hands‑on experience with 48V systems, Design Verification Plans (bench/HIL/vehicle‑level), and vehicle network tools (e.g., CANalyzer).
- Proven ability to manage releases in WERS, maintain compliance documentation, and ensure regulatory certifications (FMVSS, ECE, RF) while collaborating across engineering, quality, and supplier teams.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $42.00 per hour
