GCP Data Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a GCP Data Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data infrastructure and pipelines to enable efficient collection, storage, and analysis of large datasets.

Rate Range: $55/hour to $60/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

GCP Data Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to gather and understand current and future data requirements.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data infrastructure for data collection, storage, transformation, and analysis.
• Develop and manage data pipelines, data models, and applications to ensure reliable and optimized data workflows.
• Implement and maintain data platforms such as data warehouses, data lakes, and lake houses for structured and unstructured data.
• Create analytical tools, algorithms, and automation scripts to support data engineering activities and improve efficiency.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering.
• Proven ability to design, build, and maintain scalable data infrastructure and pipelines for large-scale data processing.
• Strong problem-solving skills with experience in dynamic environments, delivering high-impact results under multiple priorities.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $60.00 per hour
