Quality​/Reliability Engineer

Epitec is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our automotive client's team. As a Quality Engineer, the candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring their assigned commodity exceed launch, quality, warranty, and delivery metrics.

• This is an ongoing W2 contract
• This is an onsite position in Dearborn, M

• Implement commodity-specific business plans to ensure suppliers exceed launch, quality, capacity, warranty, and vehicle delivery metrics.
• Lead cross-functional decisions with Ford and supplier leadership to resolve open issues.
• Drive actions for zero vehicle losses from suppliers.
• Serve as principal for on-site troubleshooting and corrective actions during emergency supplier situations.
• Ensure adherence to Ford standards (e.g., Q1).
• Assess and validate manufacturing feasibility at supplier sites.
• Execute Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Quality Planning Process (APQP).
• Use data and metrics to inform future sourcing decisions and improve quality.

• Required Skills:
  3+ Years of Automotive Engineering experience within:

  • Quality Management
  • PPAP Processes
  • Problem Solving
  • APQP

• Required Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science/Engineering, or equivalent technical/manufacturing aptitude
