The Manufacturing Engineering Transformation team leads the digital manufacturing strategy and optimizes the software ecosystem used to deliver programs and manage change at the plant. Acting as the bridge between engineering requirements and software development, we oversee the full product lifecycle—from requirements gathering and solution alignment to development prioritization. We validate these planning tools through stakeholder demos, UAT, and concept‑ready pilots, ultimately managing deployment and training to ensure successful adoption by the manufacturing workforce.
Responsibilities- Deployment Strategy and Implementation:
Work closely with the Software Requirements team and Program Management teams to define the vehicle and plant deployment strategy. Orchestrate the full rollout of digital tools to vehicle program engineering and manufacturing sites, including creating technical documentation and monitoring usage metrics to drive active adoption of the new technology. - Training:
Create and deliver training sessions to engineers and plant personnel—through video creation, written material, and in person. - Project Management:
Manage program cycle plans and ensure timely delivery of tools to programs, collecting lessons learned from existing program teams. - Stakeholder Communication:
Act as the bridge between software development teams and manufacturing stakeholders—including engineers, plant personnel, and leadership—by clearly articulating software tool status and synthesizing technical details.
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment (automotive, aerospace, or heavy industry preferred).
- 3+ years of experience within engineering program management, understanding program timing and deliverables.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong project management skills and results‑oriented mindset.
- Advanced degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Experience with PLM tools (e.g., Team Center).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira).
- Knowledge of Ford software systems: FEDE, WERS, GSPAS/APT.

This position is salary grade 8. The salary range is salary grades 5‑8. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. This position is hybrid (onsite four days per week) for candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location or remote for non‑local candidates.
