PDE- Mechanical D&R Engineer- EVSE

In this position...The Electrified Powertrain Power Conversion EVSE D&R Engineer will own the design, release, packaging, and certification of Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) for future model battery electric vehicle (BEV) and plug in hybrid vehicle (PHEV/eREV) programs. We are looking for someone who can work effectively with various functions of a vehicle program team, that is proactive, self-motivated, and pays attention to detail.

They must also have strong teamwork, organizational, oral communication, and written communication skills with the ability to progress design solutions while delivering the best compatibility with vehicle targets.  The selected candidate will gain experience working with Studio on Class A parts, collaborate with multiple teams, drive future product development, and be part of the growing field of vehicle electrification!

You'll have...Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or related degree

Previous design and release experience through all program phases in related field2+ years working with CAD/CAE methods, CATIA preferred

Experience with developing quality documentation (DVP&R, P-diagrams, DFMEAs etc.)

Experience with problem solving tools (6-Sigma, 8D, 3L5W, or similar)
Proactive, self-motivated, and attention to detail

Strong teamwork, organizational, oral communication, and written communication skills

Strong leadership skills, able to effectively interact with multiple internal and external stakeholders

Proven ability to handle multiple assignments with competing priorities

Even better, you may have...Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (MSEE)  Understand home electrical code requirements Knowledge of high voltage automotive systems and electric and/or hybrid electric vehicle systems

Ability to coordinate CAD and CAE support

Experience in Ford WERS/FEDE/AIMS/GPDS/Integrator systems

• Paid time off and the option to purchase additional vacation time. This position is a salary grade 5 and to salary grade 8 and ranges from $65,100-$166,200. Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
