Description:
Under general supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, delivers life-support, resuscitation, monitoring, and various medical gases therapy to patients.
Performs invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures for Intensive Care and General Practice patients.
Maintains clinical expertise for departmental assignments as needed.
Communicates effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians, and other employees regarding patient care needs.
Documents all aspects of patient care adequately.
Supervises, directs, and delegates to Respiratory Therapists, externs, and students as assigned.
Completes necessary and accurate patient billing information.
