Speech and Language Pathologist Per Diem

Allegria Village, a senior living community in Dearborn, is currently hiring a Per Diem Speech Pathologist in our Skilled Nursing Facility.

• 1. Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, hearing, cognitive, or swallowing issues.
• 2. Under a physician’s direction, provides direct patient / resident treatment based on established plan of care.
• 3. Screens and evaluates Resident and develops appropriate care plan
• 4. Plans, directs, or conducts rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communicative efficiency of individuals with communication and / or swallowing or cognitive problems.
• 5. Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
• 6. Instructs residents, families, and caregivers to monitor speech and provide ways to practice new skills.
• 7. Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
• 8. Maintains patient records in an accurate and timely manner.
• 9. Devises special tools and treatments for the specific needs of patients.
• 10. Other duties as assigned

• Graduate of an accredited Masters, or Doctorate in Speech language Pathology.
• State license as a speech pathologist required.
• Proficiency with all applicable state, federal, and professional standards

• 80-bed skilled nursing facility (smaller, team-oriented environment)

• Unlike facilities that outsource therapy services, our rehabilitation team is fully in-house, promoting consistency and communication.

• Lower-acuity care setting (non-vent, non-trach facility)

• Continuity of care across Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Skilled Nursing on one campus
