IT Operations Support Specialist

Epitec is seeking an experienced IT Operations Support Specialist to join our automotive client's team. In this role, the candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting engine production and plant operations and providing technical support throughout the manufacturing plant.

• This is an ongoing W2 contract
• This is an onsite position in Dearborn, MI
• Candidates must be shift flexible for (1st, 2nd, 3rd shift)

• Provide technical support for IT applications, infrastructure, operating systems, and end-user productivity tools across multiple manufacturing plants.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for plant floor systems, servers, and network equipment in a Cisco-based environment.
• Support integration and long-term maintenance of applications and hardware, including IIOT deployments using iOS and Android devices.
• Collaborate with global IT teams and plant operations to ensure manufacturing applications meet productivity goals.
• Assist with managing assignments, workload, and maintaining accurate support documentation.
• Travel between multiple locations within the Ford manufacturing complex as needed.
• Work flexible hours to support multi-shift operations (days, nights, weekends).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with diverse, cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to multi-task and solve problems independently under stressful circumstances.
• Experience with IT operations and technical troubleshooting (Windows/Linux servers, Cisco routers/switches, VM environments).
• Familiarity with Office
  365, SharePoint, and end-user devices (Windows PCs, printers, iOS/Android, Mac OS).
• Knowledge of Windows Active Directory/ADFS and virtualization (Vsphere).
• Manufacturing experience preferred; plant floor automation experience (PLC/control systems) is a plus.
• Motivated self-starter with strong organizational skills.
