Social Media Specialist – Charlotte, NC or Detroit, MI

Campbell Marketing & Communications is looking for a creative and enthusiastic Social Media Specialist to help ideate and manage a global social media brand’s accounts. The individual will work both as an individual contributor and collaboratively with a team overseeing a multitude of projects from trends to long‑term campaigns.

Applicants should have 3+ years of social media experience with strong interpersonal skills (verbal and written), be self‑motivated, and able to work independently in a high‑volume environment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, managing day‑to‑day communication, and overseeing all account‑related activities.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of each client’s business objectives, industry, and target audience.
  • Work with clients and internal team members to ensure client success, leading multiple accounts and providing mentorship to teammates.
  • Collaborate with all teams within Campbell Marketing & Communications regularly to develop external communications social media.
  • Lead social media moderation and community management, engagement for assigned clients.
  • Work with a team daily to develop social content calendars for assigned clients.
  • Provide insight, content recommendations based on social media reports.
  • Identify and brainstorm channel‑specific trends and opportunities to enhance social content regularly.
  • Attend events and liaise with clients to cover activities from a social media perspective.

Skills and Abilities

Required/Desired
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in digital media, marketing, public relations, communications, or related field.
  • Three or more years of experience in a Social Media Manager role.
  • Knowledge of motorsports with NASCAR, NHRA, Formula Drift and Sprint Car.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with, and understanding of, current and emerging social networks, including Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, Twitter and Linked In.
  • Proficient in strategic thinking, adept at interpreting analytics, and skilled in delivering performance‑enhancing recommendations for social channels.
  • One to two years’ experience with social media ad buys.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite/Photoshop.
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and public speaking skills.
  • Excellent multitasking skills.
  • Automotive market knowledge is a plus.
  • Content creation abilities (photo, graphic design) are a plus.
  • Light travel required (3‑5 events/year), including some weekend/evening hours.

Additional Information
  • Location:

    Charlotte, NC (remote) OR Detroit, MI (Hybrid).
  • A Detroit, MI based role would require a hybrid schedule, working out of our Dearborn, MI office 2‑3 days per week.
  • Salary range starts at $52,681.00 – negotiable based on experience.
  • A valid Driver’s License and clear driving record are required.
  • This is a U.S. based role.
  • Sponsorship is not available for this position.
