The Product Marketing Lead (Contractor) will be responsible for developing and executing product marketing and communications plans, key messaging, and marketing collateral to support Ford Direct products and services. The Marketing Lead will play a key role in creating and executing dealer‑facing content and communications. This person will own the marketing development for one or more products working independently with product owners.
Additionally, the Product Marketing Lead must be a confident decision‑maker with the ability to work through ambiguity while balancing competing priorities of senior‑level managers.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a history of driving results leading marketing projects and campaigns meant to enhance target product understanding and motivate action. Comfort with digitally based product solutions is mandatory. Additionally, experience with B2B innovation projects and integral knowledge of Sales Force Marketing Cloud would greatly benefit the successful candidate for this role.
This position is a hybrid role which requires the individual to work in the office Tuesday, Wednesday, at Thursday.
Essential Functions- Develop go‑to‑market strategy, communication plans and timelines for product launches, sunsets, enhancements, events, and nurturing initiatives.
- Create marketing content for both educational and sales initiatives for dealer‑facing emails, landing pages, one‑pagers, brochures, social posts, price change documents, dealer events, webinars, FAQs, and more, as needed.
- Oversee the QA and deployment of all dealer‑facing emails via Marketing Cloud including creating and performing QA on data extensions and working with the technology team to resolve issues as they arise.
- Manage agency resources for assigned marketing initiatives ensuring timely completion of high‑quality deliverables.
- Manage and update the Marketing Calendar and notify the field team of the content, timeline, and goal of marketing campaigns prior to deployment.
- Work with the events team to plan, execute and support Ford Direct dealer meetings.
- Schedule, facilitate, and host webinars for product teams and suppliers using internal webinar system.
- Train internal team members and suppliers on webinar system usage to provide backup for the marketing team as needed.
- Compile and report post‑email/campaign and webinar engagement metrics to internal teams and external agencies.
- Developing strategy, communications, and key messaging for B2B product marketing (5+ years). Innovation project‑focused responsibilities in this area are beneficial.
- Working as a project manager, SME, and content developer for marketing/communications projects across all levels of the organization (5+ years) either through experiences gathered as employee of a client‑side organization or as member of an account team at an integrated marketing agency.
- Current email automation technology including development and deployment (3+ years).
- Cloud applications and online conferencing software.
- B2B Product Marketing background with strong writing and editing skills.
- Ability to confidently work with higher levels across the organization.
- Technical expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud email development and deployment.
- Online conferencing software, preferably Go‑To‑Webinar.
- Proactively problem‑solve and multitask while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
- Follow‑through mindset to uphold a ‘close the loop’ culture.
- A positive approach to serving customers and providing exceptional customer service.
- Ability to demonstrate good judgment, high ethics and project a professional image.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent organization, flexibility and time‑management skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, deadline‑driven environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and business communication skills (written, verbal, listening).
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
