Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist - Anesthesia

This is an outpatient job at an Ambulatory Surgery Center.

• You will work different day shifts.
• There are no on-call or weekend shifts.
• The number of patients you see may change.

• Giving medications through an IV, inhalation, and regional methods to help patients not feel pain during surgeries, deliveries, or other medical and dental procedures. You may work with patients of all ages, including older adults and children.
• Providing services to help patients breathe during their time in the hospital.
• Being a leader in the work environment and helping your colleagues grow and develop in their skills.
• Respectfully delegating tasks to support staff.
• Working with anesthesia teams and surgeons to decide on the best actions for patient care.
• Coordinating care with other healthcare team members.
• Promoting a positive and healthy work environment through good communication and teamwork.
• Conducting assessments before anesthesia and documenting your findings.
• Working with anesthesiologists to create and manage anesthesia care before, during, and right after surgery.
• Keeping accurate records of all care you provide.
• Offering airway management and intubation for emergencies and other situations in the hospital.

• You cannot be a new graduate; you need at least 2 years of experience as a CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist), not counting your RN or training time.
• You must be Board Certified by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA).
• You must have active Michigan nursing and specialty licenses (no exceptions).
• You need to have active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or agree to get these).
• You must have a clean malpractice and license history.
• You need to get your DEA and CSR/CDS certificates before you start.
