Lapeer area high precision, high volume machining company is looking for skilled Pack Room/Quality Control Inspectors to join their team. This is an automotive parts manufacturing facility. 1st and 2nd Shift available. Pay is based on experience, starting at $15-16 per hour. 1st Shift 5:30AM - 4:00PM and Second Shift 4:30PM- 3:00AM. Mandatory overtime is required most weeks, including Saturdays. Some manufacturing and quality control experience is needed.
Jobresponsibilities
- Inspects, tests, or measures materials, products, or work for conformance to specifications.
- Measures dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
- Records inspection such as quantities inspected or graded.
- Marks items with details such as grade or acceptance-rejection status
- Other duties as assigned
Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Quality Control Analysis — Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
Active Listening — Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Work ActivitiesPerforming General Physical Activities — Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
