Software Engineer (4) - SAP DRC Module

Location: Dearborn, MI (Hybrid/Remote)
Duration: Long term contract

Employees in this role design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and products to meet customer needs. They participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including software architecture design, coding, quality testing, and deployment.

• Engage with customers to understand use‑cases, pain points, and requirements, advocating user‑centric solutions.
• Design, develop, and deliver solutions using appropriate tools, languages, frameworks, and methodologies.
• Assess application or service requirements and determine suitable technology stack, integration method, and deployment strategy.
• Create high‑level architectural designs outlining structure, components, and interfaces.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as product owners, designers, and architects.
• Define and implement software test strategies, guidelines, policies, and processes in line with organizational vision and best practices.
• Continuously improve performance, optimize the application, and incorporate new technologies for efficiency.
• Apply testing‑driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practices.
• Support security practices, safeguarding user data with encryption and anonymization.
• Create user‑friendly, interactive interfaces.
• Develop and maintain backend applications such as APIs and microservices using server‑side languages.
• Evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies, contributing to solutions for new stack layers.

• Implement and configure SAP DRC for e‑Invoicing in European markets.
• Support requirement gathering, functional design, functional specification preparation, and user workshops.
• Integrate DRC with SAP FI/CO, SD/MM, and other external invoicing applications.
• Conduct SIT/UAT, create test cases, handle cutover activities, and provide hyper‑care support.
• Coordinate with tax authorities, SAP BTP/Integration Suite teams, and global stakeholders.
• Develop customized DRC reports using BRF+, CDS views, field mappings, XML schemas, and queries.
• Provide end‑user training and assist in process documentation.

• SAP S4 HANA, DRC configuration.
• REST APIs, SAP DRC.

• REST APIs, SAP DRC experience.

• Engineer 3 experience: 6+ years in IT; 4+ years in development.
• Experience in at least two programming languages or advanced practice in one language.

• 7-10 years of SAP consulting experience, with 2+ SAP DRC implementation experience.
• Hands‑on DRC framework configuration and support.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for DRC/E‑Invoicing errors, IRN/QR issues, API integrations.
• Knowledge of compliance updates, OSS notes, upgrades.
• Experience with government portal integration and middleware.
• Documentation, test scripts, and audit support.
• Working knowledge of SAP FI/CO configuration, XML mapping, e‑Invoicing standards.
• Experience with BRF+, CDS views, debugging, and SAP integration concepts.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced evolving requirements project.
• Proficiency in multi‑application integration, SD+/FI expertise required.

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Certification Program preferred.
