You'll act as a technical leader and architect within the team — setting engineering standards, guiding design decisions, and mentoring other engineers — while remaining hands‑on in building scalable, high‑performing solutions.
This is an opportunity to shape the technical direction of a rapidly growing platform at the intersection of enterprise software and clean energy innovation.

Partner directly with product owners, architects, and senior business stakeholders across Ford Energy to shape technical roadmaps and translate ambiguous business needs into scalable system designs
Own critical design decisions across the full software development lifecycle, including proactive risk identification, code quality standards, testing strategy, CI/CD pipeline design, and release governance
Champion Dev Ops and platform governance best practices, including source control strategy, environment management, and deployment automation (e.g., Salesforce DX, Copado, Gearset)
Lead root‑cause analysis and resolution of complex, high‑severity production issues, ensuring platform reliability and data integrity for customer‑ and partner‑facing applications
Evaluate and pilot emerging Salesforce capabilities (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Revenue Cloud, Einstein/AI, Experience Cloud, Manufacturing Cloud, Mulesoft) and make recommendations on platform strategy and adoption
Mentor and provide technical guidance to mid‑level and junior engineers; conduct design/code reviews and foster a culture of engineering excellence
Collaborate with security, compliance, and enterprise architecture teams to ensure solutions meet Ford's governance, privacy, and regulatory requirements

Experience mentoring engineers and leading code/design reviews
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders
