CDL A Truck Driver

Second Son Freight is a Michigan-based trucking company hauling automotive and industrial freight, including steel and aluminum, throughout Michigan and the Great Lakes region.

We're hiring our founding driver team: experienced professionals who want steady, dedicated freight, quality equipment, and a direct relationship with company leadership. You'll join at the beginning and help set the standard for safety, service, and how we operate as we grow.

• Starting salary of $92,500, paid weekly as a W-2 employee
• Sign-on bonuses for experienced drivers and paid driver referrals
• Home nightly on most core Michigan lanes
• New and late-model tractors and trailers, including Conestoga equipment
• No-touch freight, with drivers responsible for load securement and operating trailer covers

• Safely transport automotive materials, steel, aluminum, and other industrial freight
• Secure loads properly and operate Conestoga covers and other trailer equipment
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report equipment issues promptly
• Maintain accurate logs and required paperwork
• Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers
• Follow applicable safety requirements and company procedures

• Valid Class A CDL and current DOT medical certification
• Automotive freight, flatbed, Conestoga, coil, steel, or aluminum experience strongly preferred
• A dependable professional who takes pride in safety, equipment, and customer service

We are preparing to launch with dedicated customer freight already lined up and room to grow. Start dates depend on final operating authority, insurance, and completion of required compliance steps.
