Information Technology Security Engineer

Base pay range$86,000.00/yr - $/yr
Daikin is currently utilizing Exchange online, MS SharePoint, Teams, and One Drive but requires an expert to architect, implement, configure, and manage M365 platforms such as Microsoft Purview Information Protection and the EMS suite (Intune, ATP, Defender, Azure AD & Security Center).
The IT Security Engineer will be instrumental in helping protect Daikin’s computer networks and systems from cyber threats. This role will support a complex security architecture that includes Firewall configuration/administration, IDS/IPS, Vulnerability management, Web filter administration, as well as Antivirus and Endpoint detection administration. This position will suggest improvements to network hardware and software needed to support Daikin’s current day-to-day operation, as well as identify what is needed for the future.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant work experience or 10 years equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Information Security.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Security Administration.
- CISSP or other security certifications.
- Strong people skills, follow-up skills, and the ability to lead without direct authority.
- Experience in Industrial Control Systems a plus.
- Meticulous.

- Establish and coordinate routine IT maintenance activities and troubleshooting in accordance with plant needs and objectives.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with all other departments to ensure effective execution of responsibilities.
- Communicate regularly with management to provide an understanding of the IT system activities, needs, and opportunities.
- Confer with colleagues and vendors involved in IT related projects in all areas of the plant. Ensure that projects are implemented in a technically sound and cost-effective manner.
- Review and assess IT related issues and make necessary corrections or adjustments to system configuration.
- Capable of lifting 50 lbs.
- Have good mobility.
- Be able to work for 12 hours in all weather.
- Walk through the plant, approximately 2-3 miles per day.

Duties / Responsibilities:
- Prompt, regular, and dependable attendance is an essential function of this job.
- Monitor, maintain, and implement Cyber Security and compliance policies in Microsoft 365 environment.
- Configure, manage, and secure Microsoft 365 / Azure environment.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on security related projects and initiatives focused on securing Microsoft 365 service.
- Serve as technical lead for all facets of Microsoft Security, with the ability to thoroughly develop and document procedures.
- Routinely assess our network vulnerability. Develop and implement solutions to vulnerabilities found.
- Provide detailed reports on security findings with plans for security enhancements.
- Critical thinking skills and Critical Thinking to identify solutions are essential to this position.
- Create, maintain, and enforce network security policies to mitigate security risks.
- Monitoring audit logs.
- Work with the IT team and other departments to ensure security is incorporated in new and existing projects.
- Routinely collaborating with Japanese counterparts on strengthening and implementing corporate security initiatives.
- Key member of Network Security incident response team.
- Working with Compliance (JSOX) to make sure we exceed our requirements and expectations.
- Provide technical support for hardware/software related to Daikin’s IT Network and Security. These include, but are not limited to networking infrastructure, cyber security, email, disaster recovery, new application implementation, application development/modification, project management, server maintenance, just to name a few.
- Knowledge of various security frameworks such as NIST and CIS.
- Expert knowledge on cyber security threats and intelligence landscape.
- Develop guidelines, workflows, customer self-help guides, and troubleshooting guides for routine issues and repeat tasks.
- Perform security awareness training for peers and Daikin’s employees.
- Perform training for other Security Team members on operational procedures.
- Attend and participate in regularly scheduled meetings.
